Below are instructions to melt your chocolate in the microwave:
We suggest using the microwave for melting, if using a double boiler it is important to ensure there is NO moisture comes in contact with the chocolate. Moisture will seize the chocolate and make it unusable. Also ensure you are melting slowly, if you melt in the microwave too fast you have a chance to burn the chocolate and it will then be unusable.
Place most of your chocolate in microwave safe bowl, leave about a handful out incase you need to cool it off. Heat for 1.5 minutes on 50% power. Stir chocolate, it will still be formed and not melted but it is important to stir. Place back in microwave for 1.5 minutes on 50% power. Stir chocolate, it is now starting to melt. Stir for about 1 minute to ensure it is all starting to melt. Place back in the microwave for 1 minute on 50% power. Take out and stir, it should be about completely melted. If a few pieces are left after stirring place back in microwave in 30 second increments on 50% power stirring between each time until chocolate is smooth. Chocolate should be about body temperature when melted correctly, if too hot add a few wafers and stir until smooth, dot not microwave any more.
If chocolate cools off place in microwave at 50% power for 15-30 seconds, this will make it smooth and usable again.
